Here’s my question: How did that 911 operator keep a job long enough to ignore thousands? I feel like after a couple of ignored calls, at the most more than 10, she should have been caught and held accountable. The people in charge of her should also been held accountable.

I dated a woman with a disabled child many years ago. You’d be surprised how often a car would park too close to the van for us to get her daughter out or how often a handicapped entrance would be blocked. It was one of the most infuriating things I’ve ever experienced but you have to keep your cool so as not to embarrass the child.

@Omega0850 I don’t know the laws where you’re from, but here in Belgium, the card can only be used when the rightful person is on board.
And if you have the card/pass, it’s probably to make you’re life as comfortable as possible, very noble not to use it when you don’t feel like needing it, but do know you have the right to use it.
Hope your problems are under control.
And last, I can’t imagine what you have, nor it’s impact on your life, but I’m truly sorry you have to
Stand up against your mother, can’t be easy.

My mother was so happy when i got my severely disabled pass, because it would allow her to use it for parking, despite the fact that i never drove around with her. And even though i only got it for psychological problems (still don´t understand why that entitled me to a better parking spot, but it did) and at that time, i didn´t care about anything, including myself, i made goddamn sure she wouldn´t get her hands on it, just so she could abuse the public healthcare-system for her own convenience.

Yes! I have a video of a jerk doing this. Meanwhile since I’m disabled my bf and I had to park elsewhere and he had to go out and grab the food by himself. It’s so frustrating being limited like that and seeing a car illegally park in a or too close to a handicap spot refusing to move when others need it. I finally filmed it because I was so frustrated…

My MIL has such a hard time with this. Half the time they have to park at the end of the parking lot for her to get her giant motorized wheelchair out. Even other handicapped drivers taking the handicap van spot. So frustrating.

@ LOUISE JOHNSON If my 5 year old can show remorse at breaking a cup accidently then so can all ankle biters. Poor little thing was so upset, even though she had never been told off for any accidental damage - cos accidents happen. But she had been taught to be careful of things that break and to respect property. You need to start giving the little angels credit for what they can do, and you'd be surprised at just how much they can learn and understand if only you stopped making excuses for them. As for the mother, just how entitled and lazy can she get that she can't be bothered to teach her hellions basic good manners, and to be careful and respect others and their property. Accidents happen, but she needs to step up to the mark and take responsibility for her little crotch goblins and pay for their breakages.

This is how we're expected to parent nowadays:
Person 1) "Let your child walk to school on their own, give them some freedom - it's only 5 minutes away"
Person 2) "Hello Child services? There's a child walking down the street - no parent in sight and I'm concerned a predator could take them"
      You can't win.

Also, while working at the gas station, if a kid broke something, or bit into something they weren't supposed to, and the parent honestly asked to take responsibility and pay for it, i always just let them get off without an issue.
But i don't particularly have mercy on parents who try to hide it. If they dont understand what responsibility is, how can they teach their kids what it is?

One time I went to the market and there was a lady and she had 3 kids they were kinda dirty and looked very cold. She said she was out of food cuz it's not the first yet and she doesn't get any money until then. She only wanted like 5 items. I got her about a weeks worth of food even though it was 4 days before the first. I noticed that two kids didn't have shoes. She said they out grew them so there was a cheap discount store next door so I told her I will get one pair for each child. The shoes run about $6-15 each no prob. It's in the middle of January and it's freaking cold. As I was paying for the shoes she came back with a huge cart full of clothes and I'm like no! It was a massive pile of clothes and I already spent $78 on her kids for food and shoes and she was pissed. I said only a sweater each and she was like no and I was like I'll give you a number to a place that gives clothes to needy people and she told me off in front of the store the manager kicked her out .

Don't ever feel bad-what you did was a wonderful thing. I am sorry you had to experience that one d-bag. She SB shutting her mouth as much as she needs to be shutting her legs. It was a good idea to refer her to a place that gives out clothes to needs people. I was shocked to see how much in clothing gets tossed out around here, Long Island, NY. Even sober houses here toss out a lot of stuff, a lot of it nice, at least the ones I've worked with. They DO end up squeezed tight for space, people leave and don't return, or send someone back for, their clothes, previous tenants and others in Recovery donate stuff..so that is another great source of all KINDS of stuff, some of it pricey...$50 sweatshirts, nice shoes, cosmetics...ditto with food.

      And the manager.
About a week ago, at the store I work at, I was keeping an eye on this one kiddo, he’s come in alone, so I was expecting a Code Adam (missing child) alert in the mall. He picked up one of the stretchy dragons we have by the tail (wings or tails are actually great handles) and I was shocked when the tail popped off! Very fine sand goes everywhere, and this poor kid is just standing there, holding the tail. To my great surprise, he dug the body out of the box, looked at the price tag, and brought this deflated dragon up to the register, offering to pay for it.
We did not make him do so. Since I’d seen the tail pop off as he was only trying to pick it up! Had to dig out the store’s vacuum to get all the sand up, of course. This little guy was so distraught at what had happened, even though we told him it was fine, obviously a manufacturer error, it was not his fault in the least.

I grew up in a house with five women: mum, grandma and an aunt, plus my two sisters. It was the 70s and 80s, so I never lifted a finger to do any chores at home. Everything was taken care for by the women in my family -they were very, very traditionalists. Mind that I was always trying to learn how to cook, though. I loved the smells, textures, colors, tastes of food and wanted to know how to prepare those dishes, but my grandma said that kitchens weren't places for boys. Then, when I finished college, I was recruited into the Navy (in Spain military service was mandatory until the 90s), but wasn't that difficult experience; after all in the Navy everything is regulated and besides making your own bed and taking care of your clothes and your job everything else is done for you by the guy who had the task assigned.
Then I married a wonderful girl that thought that house chores are a thing of both sexes, not just women. And here is the thing: I never had a problem to do any of the chores. You don't need a degree to make a washmachine function: you only need to know how to read the manual; and cooking, at least functional cooking, is about following the recipe... Now I am 52, widow, and with two adult sons and one daughter. There is no magic: just work and common sense. Entitlement only got you so far.

Hurray for your wife. When I ran my home daycare, I inherited four boys for after school. This was the conversation one day.
Boys: We can’t make our snack.
      Me: Why not?
      Boys: The knives are dirty.
Me: I’m sorry but I can’t take you to the hospital.
      Boys: What!
Me: well, if you are telling me that you can not clean a knife, you must also be telling me that you all have broken arms.
      Boys: ?
      Me: well!
Boys: Smirks, grins and slow shuffle back to the kitchen.
The knife in question was used to cut banana bread, the snack. All these boys are going out into the world. They need to be prepared.

A Karen came screaming out of her front door about 20/25 feet away, yelling I wasn’t allowed to be there, that I’m not allowed to take photos of the church because it’s “her” church… she thought that because she lived on the same street, she owned the church! I tried to explain I was originally from the area myself, and was paying one last visit to my grandparents before I moved away, and just wanted a few photos of it and the church as keepsakes, and she continued to yell at me and told me she was going to call police on me for taking a photo of a church that played a few parts in my life. Now I can’t even enjoy the photos because I only remember her, and not the peaceful day I had planned there. Imagine being entitled to your local church.

Like David, when I worked at Starbucks one of our partners (an employee) got hit in the head with one of the magnetic signage boards that hang behind the counters with the menus on them and he fell on the floor. He happened to fall in front of the cold beverage station and some woman had the audacity to throw a fit that we couldn't make her frappuccino because one of our employees was being seen by EMTs in front of the blenders.........

My eldest once broke a squishy ball with weird gunge in the middle of it in the shop before we bought it, it made a huge mess and the lady serving noticed him flapping (he has Autism) & decided she would tell him he must just be super strong and not to worry as stuff like that happens all the time. She then cleared it up and when we offered to pay for it, she said not to be silly and wished us a lovely day. ❤

A few months ago, about 11pm, I called 911 because someone was in my yard shooting a gun. The operator told me that this wasn't illegal. I said it is illegal to be trespassing on my property and firing a weapon. She asked if I knew who the person was. I told her no. She then told me I should go outside to identify the person. I explained to her that I'm a single mom of 5 and had no way to protect myself against someone with a gun. After a few more minutes of her stupid suggestions she finally says "well ok. I Guess I'll send an officer out." I was just dumbfounded by the whole conversation.

She got so angry she actually threw her coffee through the window and hit me in the leg.
EDIT: I got her plates and did call the police. From what I know nothing happened but she did get banned from all of the owners stores. (He owned every store in the city I live in😂😂)

And I am bit confused at why they didn't charge you. I am guessing they treat it like a loss( with the stolen items) and then just raise overall prices. HEY BUSINESSES: could you please just make thieves and those that break things pay for them and stop raising your prices to cover "inevitable" losses. As it is you always make sure to earn more than your losses, IMO.

When my fiance and I decided to start looking for an engagement ring (a couple years after engagement), my fiance legit was under the strong impression that he'd need to spend an absolute ridiculous amount on a ring as that's what is 'required' of him. I had to explain to him that engagement rings were'nt even a thing until the diamond cartel munipulated the public to think that back in the 50's. I told him he has a budget of no more than $250 which is roughly one weeks rent which i think is pretty fair. We found the perfect ring at $140 and still had enough to get him an engagement ring (funny story, i'm the one that proposed first, he proposed when the ring finally arrived. He had planned to propose in the cinema in front of everyone, but i wanted a bottle of water when the previews we're still on so he went to buy one, but didn't get back till the movie started because the line was apparently very long. He proposed after the movie when we'd got back to the car. Deff no romance story, but it's a funny one so i can't hate).

I’ve been told I was stern with my kids telling them to keep their hands inside the carts as babies or toddlers. I would redirect their hands or hold the hands and say “not for touching.” But seriously, it is MY responsibility if MY children who I brought into the store break something. They’re a little older now and have learned this lesson because despite me trying my best they broke a few figurines in a craft store. When this happened they need to take responsibility and apologize to the clerk, I apologize, I buy the item, and then at home we work out the natural consequences. Like do you want to give us the money now from your piggy bank or do extra chores? If I’m walking into a store that I would literally be terrified to have my kids in just Incase they broke like a $3000 vase, then guess what, they ain’t going in. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Anyways.

She even wrote that her son threw a jar of peanut butter in her wagon and it broke. Instead of taking that broken jar to the nearest clerk, she put it back onto the shelf and grabbed a different one. But it's ok everyone, she only does this to big box stores that "factors shrinkage into the cost of business". 🙄

BUT I give a lot of the class time for the students to do the assignment, and when it's done I check it and give extensive comments on it. And when I saw some students were struggling because they had missed a class I gave two alternative, larger assignments that were optional, each one worth four weekly assignments. So there was something for everyone. But my students don't hate my class lol, most of them either love or tolerate it.

My brother, who is one of the owners of our family seafood restaurant, had to deal with the crappiest customers who are so entitled to whatever they do. It is just ridiculous.
This one table a while back brought in their beers for no reason. It is illegal, and he confiscated away from them and asked for their IDs. Only one show that he was legally aged, but the other didn't show and complain about going to his car and grabbing his ID and show proof that he is of legal drinking age. That is the legal thing to do. So the one that showed he was permitted to ask for a beer and then handed it to his companion. Then my brother kicked them out because he clearly stated that the guy that didn't show his identification and offered no proof he was legally allowed to drink or have a DWI. Those two were out of there and not allowed back due to what they were doing.
This other time he had to handle this lady who kept complaining that her shrimp weren't cooked properly, and he always asked if she has her receipt to make sure she can be refunded or cooked another pound of shrimp. She always says no, and every time she orders, she keeps doing the same situation as before but with a different name, and my brother had it with this lady, and she was going to complain to the "manager." Unaware that she was speaking to him and she quickly changed her tone to "apologetic," and my brother just hung up the phone on her because of her scummy and manipulative behavior.
There was also the one where my cousin had to deal with this one lady who was one of the worst Karen they had to face, sadly. My wife was also the witness to the event that transpires. The lady had just finished her dinner, and she wanted to take home some more food for a later time. So everything was normal, and she hadn't realized that she only had enough money for only the dinner and not the addition of the to-go order. It could have worked out that she would like to cancel that to-go, but it was already made. It would have been understandable they could've worked it out, but then she ends up berates everyone in the restaurant and storms out without paying. It was not until she forgot her phone they plan on giving it to the police for obvious reasons, but when they closed up for the night, she returned to get her phone. She was a predator to my relatives and colleagues; they had to wait until she was ultimately off the premises so they can escape her from not coming to their home. I don't know what happened, but it seems she was in a lot of trouble for obvious reasons.

Love the humor on your videos! I saw in a previous one where you mentioned being an actress, photographer, singer and some other things. I took that with a grain of salt.
But you really have a great voice... at least from the bits if "Imagine" I heard. Hope you are able to do something with your music as well as the funny videos!

I work at Claire's and kids break stuff all the time! However the other day the very first parent paid for the item the child broke even tho the kid was crying she didn't want that item ( it was a hand fan) but the mother stood her ground and said then u shouldn't have broke it! It was so refreshing to see!!

4:06 - I can understand where the ‘where’s my fucking job’ lady is coming from. I come from a generation that was strong armed into going to university and told that it’s the only way to get a decent job, etc. Then leave university with crippling debt and can barely get a job at McDonalds or are expected to work less than minimum wage for a ridiculously high-skilled job that wants 10 years experience straight out of school. Can’t help but feel the system lied to us.

@mr. pink Yeah, getting the feeling political references just go straight over her head. In the 70s, anyone could leave a job in the morning and find a new one the same day. From the 80s onward, Neoliberal governments have deliberately maintained a higher level of unemployment to push down inflation. So it is absolutely very much more difficult for the generations who followed the boomers to find jobs. That is the context behind that image (as well as vastly increased education costs, which also cripple students with debt). Young people have every right to feel the decks are increasingly stacked against them in terms of employment and life opportunities.

@Hyena I was thinking this exact thing. People can be so condescending to people in the service industry. They're the same ones who oppose raising the minimum wage to a livable wage. "If they want to make that much, they should go to college." Um, no, anyone who works full time should at least earn enough for life's basic necessities. And if 100% of the population had college degrees, we'd still want people working in service positions. Twats.

As someone who dropped out of high school (not once, not twice, but 3 times) and landed a bartending job where I made *way* more money than a *ton* of people that I went to school with (who ended up in serious debt because they went to college), I 100% agree that you were sold a MAJOR lie.
It's complete bs that a slacker like me earned more than people who worked so hard to achieve so much but ended up getting paid so little. It's just unbearably unbelievable.
And I'm not being sarcastic in any way, they're spreading some super low quality fertilizer when they tell people that more education=more money.

12:29 As a teacher I would not recommend to leave you kids at home when you go shopping. Children are children. They'll break things, they will cry and do things they aren't supposed to do, but that is the occasion for you to teach them patience and that actions have consequences. They'll also acquire a lot of world knowledge. A lot of children these days grew up cloistered by parents who did not wanted the annoyance of dealing with this kind of behavior, so they generally don't know how to behave respectfully at school or lack important world knowledge in a way it harms their learning. Frustration is an important part of growing up and learning how to be a decent person (and not a karen).

When I see people with handicap tags park sideways in a handicap spot part of me is like, “yeah, that makes sense.” Because I imagine grannies who can’t drive parking like that. But it’s awful for situations like that

Holy crap, and I thought I was having an entitled moment when I was griping about us not being able to afford adding Netflix to our Amazon Fire TV package. Lol.
Honestly, I only really want it for Lucifer because they bought the show from Fox.
It's cool. We can't afford it but we DO have quite a few cool apps on Fire Stick and basic cable so, no real complaints.
But, occasionally my inner brat comes out because I really like the show.

The "Dear Neighbor" one is kinda funny given that I don't have kids and it's usually people with small children always demanding for people to have a life around their needs. I wonder if that was actually a response letter because the lady complained about the animals making noise.
