  • Photoshop DISASTERS That Are On Another Level ! - REACTION
Hey ya'll! Today on my channel we are reacting to some photoshop fails, people caught using photoshop, some more fake people found on instagram and social media. These people are so bad at photoshop, their photo editing fails are funny. Do you think these people are using photoshop or facetune? Everything I state in this video is my opinion, but as an experienced photographer with 10 years of work under my belt, I do not share my opinions without having the knowledge to back it up.
Hi, I'm Charlotte Dobre. I'm an actor, reactor, singer and sometimes (not really) comedian. On this channel I do reactions, commentary and occasionally I crack a joke or two. I upload daily, usually 7 days a week, unless life gets crazy or I get lazy. Come hang out, it's a good time.

I’ve noticed that a bunch of influencers/aspiring IG models, usually the younger girls, have nothing but selfies on their timeline and no photos with friends or of them at social gatherings. They get dressed up just to go out and have someone follow them around taking pictures of them but don’t actually go anywhere. It’s kinda sad cause you know they spend all day sitting in their rooms browsing social media and obsessing over how they look.

Addiction is really terrible! I remember 10-15 years ago, we used Photoshop mainly to correct red eyes only lol. Then a little brightness and contrast, that's it! It took quite a drastic turn, and all of a sudden insecurities of people started reeking around social media. Users became addicted to looking perfect for the likes and comments, they need others' validation to feel they are worthy. I did have a part where I would only post flawless photos, but snapped out of it really fast as's bad for mental health.

I am so happy that growing up I wasn’t part of this generation of social media. I was a teenager in the 90s so don’t get me wrong magazines would make me feel bad about myself. But it wasn’t constantly in my face. I could choose to put down a magazine or flip through the pictures of the heroine chic trend. I am 40 now and honestly I feel like I look better than I did in my 20s. But sometimes it does get a little hard when you see especially a lot of women who have lost weight and post these pictures with their stomach super flat and they don’t admit that they’ve had any kind of skin removal surgery or liposuction. I understand it’s their body I’m not saying that they shouldn’t do it. But I feel like if you’re going to post any kind of weight loss that you should tell the full story and not give false hopes to women that think well shit if they can get their stomachs or body is looking like that why can’t I? I don’t know I just feel so bad for the girls and guys that have to feel like they need to look like a photo shopped picture. I may throw a filter that adds a different color butI will never Photoshop a picture of myself.

It's so sad that people feel the need to Photoshop themselves to the point they don't even look realistic or look like the same person...I think that's damaging to one's mental health and their confidence...setting unrealistic goals for one's self that is impossible to achieve just makes a person depressed and miserable 😖 ❤️

Hey Charlotte! Definitely glad you touched on this topic. The part you mentioned about influencers using social media like a mirror, has some truth to it. This influencer that I follow, who seems to go live quite a lot. She is very cool overall, but I noticed recently she was going for some acting gig where she has to travel. After she did her makeup and was literally on her way through the door, she actually went live on IG and well she was checking her self out and to be fair she is very cool and down to earth, but I just got a little sense she got a plus from her fans in terms of how she looked. She looked very pretty of course, so needed not do the live. It's just a thing with young ladies I guess, especially on social media. Anyhow awesome video overall, and I definitely endorse the fact that women are beautiful overall, despite body type and what not. As an older guy, I actually come to appreciate this even with the women from 40 upwards.

Social media has ruined the way women and girls think they should look, it's sad. We need to step away from social apps and realize that how we naturally look is how we should be. The message in this video is perfection!! The world focuses way too much on looks and society's version of beauty. We are ALL beautiful in our own way. Not everyone likes vanilla icecream, that is why it comes in so many flavors.

    • Megan Roberts
      Megan Roberts Il y a 2 mois +1

      DAZED&CONFUSED Il y a 9 mois +1

@Cailean MacCoinnich actually vanilla comes in a few.. vanilla bean, French vanilla, old fashioned vanilla, vanilla froyo. But my point was not everyone considers skinny to be beautiful, my standards of beauty differs from yours. So saying that not everybody likes vanilla ice cream meaning some people like chocolate chip or Peanut Butter Cup

    • You Don't Know As Much As You Think You Do
You Don't Know As Much As You Think You Do Il y a 11 mois

      The world?
I think that narrative needs to get hulk punched into the 3000s. Every culture has different beauty standards.
Example: In Africa they scar their bodies with dotted patterns and stick discs in their lips. In India they adorn women in flowing garments of color and large gold jewellery.
1st world countries scoff at them. 😲😐🤭 The idea that beauty is a standard that's pushed by complete strangers and that you feel the need to adhere to some made up rules and judgments based on a vein, money hungry, materialistic industry is a choice you make. You choose to set these standards for yourself. You're the ruler of your domain, your life, your world. If you don't like the standards, stop following and perpetuating them. 🤯 Welcome to adulthood.

    • Barbara Danley

@Cailean MacCoinnich, dumb comment. She never said vanilla ice cream comes in many flavors, she just said not everybody likes vanilla. The inference is clear.
But interestingly enough, the other night I ordered icecream in the hospital cafeteria and while the menu says vanilla/chocolate/strawberry, apparently they make strawberry by adding strawberry sundae berries/syrup mixture. So the guy kept asking if I wanted vanilla or chocolate and I kept saying "strawberry". Took a minute to get it straightened out!

@PinkMonkeyBird I hear what you’re saying. I can see how a person may question why some folks want to be noticed more if perhaps the attention that person has received has been interpreted as mostly negative. I’ll support anyone who wants a cosmetic procedure if it makes them feel better about themselves. It’s very easy to look at some people and think their insecurity is anything worth being self-conscious about. But our opinion isn’t what matters. I have a very prominent rib anomaly that I’ve been self conscious of it since I was a teen. It’s affected what type of clothes I wear, because I’m smaller chested and it really used to look like a 3rd boob when I was really skinny. I know no one cares but me., but I’m in my 40s and I’d get it fixed tomorrow if I could.

In the end, though, I’ll support a person’s choice to get plastic surgery if it’s what makes that person feel better and isn’t excessive (I don’t support those folks who get 20+ procedures. Hi, Charlotte! I enjoy your vids very much, especially the ones with entitled people. Hahaha! It always amazes me how some people display such a lack of shame. I have a question. Did I understand correctly that you are half Romanian? Dobre is a Romanian name, right?

And one of the reasons I'm gone from Instagram now for a few months, I just get triggerd from madness about all the facetuning. It's getting unreal. Not against photoshop at all, just the unrealistic looks people want to have somehow.

Most men aren’t that picky. When they see a woman they like, they start a relationship before they see her legs with cellulite, or a mother’s flacid tummy, or small breast. So please don’t worry to much about your imperfections. Rather make sure you support him and that you care about him. I used to have a 6 pack. But after I had my daughter my body changed and I gained weight. I have a belly and stretch marks. Guess what, he loves me the way I am.

My boyfriend never sees the cellulite in my thighs and butt, too involved with watching the jiggly wiggly to care. We also grab each others bellies lovingly (I have to hold on for dear life and he's pretty much fatless). I still felt a little chubby since I've been working from home and lacking exercise. But my boyfriend never said or noticed anything about my weight gain (it was only around 2kg weight gain, but I lost pretty much all my muscles, so it looked more flabby as if I had gained 5+ kilos)

The first one actually makes a lot of sense, cuz i have a canon photo camera and it connects with the phone so you can operate your camera through your phone aka see yourself when you're taking pictures with it. + its better quality and angles than with a mirror

I want to thank you for sharing that information about before and after pictures based on posing and that everyone has cellulite. I think it's sad what has been done to our culture today and so many people don't know what is normal and what it's not. I've had to explain things like that to my teenage boys that just because someone has cellulite doesn't mean they're fat

Completely agree with the last images. I am a boudoir photographer and I can say 100% angles mean everything! What’s closest to the camera becomes bigger and what’s farther away becomes smaller. Also cameras can’t see in 3D so shadows and highlights also makes a big difference!

the same reason why i follow jennifer west on insta! she posts the same type of content where posing and positioning really makes a difference so it's nice knowing that influencers and "celebrities" can also have "flaws" (cellulite and stretch marks are natural and not flaws but i know how others may view them as flaws) that we usually don't tend to see

Aren't people insulted when their friends photoshop the crap out of them before posting the photo on their IG?
I mean, I'm not on any social media, but isn't it bad IG etiquette? If not, it needs to be. I'd personally be pissed, like what, am I not pretty enough for your followers?

As a hairdresser who specialises in colour work and can do a good quality balayage and shadow root, I get really frustrated with filtered hair colour photos that more than a few hairdressers use. I have no issues with great lighting but colour filters is flat out lying about the quality of their skills.
