Hey guys, today on my channel we are reacting to some people who were called out on social media! I think a lot of people lie on social media...myself included. Whether its photoshop, lying about having a girlfriend, or just pretending your life is far more interesting than it actually is -- if you're going to lie on social media, be prepared to get CALLED OUT.

Hey I dont know if you still answer after a year later but at 6:31 into the video you tried to do that hand thing and you said am I getting better at it. So I'm guessing you have some time trying. I have been watching you and i love you so i went all way back to last year and i dont know if you have gotten better at it but in case you havent when you are ready to snap your hand just lower your arm more in a quick motion and you will see your hand it easier to make and doing that snapping sound.

I got my parents Chromecasts for both their TVs. Both of them work their phone quite well tbh and I found both of them used the Chromecasts regularly.
My dumbass (tech illiterate) sister told them Apple TV Boxes were better and removed the Chromecasts and replaced them with Apple TVs.
So then I had 4 Chromecasts.
And then my dad removed the Apple TVs because he read that those, Alexa and Google Home devices spy on people.
Which was exactly why I bought them Chromecasts, because I knew he'd have none of that if the devices could listen in on people and your basic ass Chromecast is the one devices that doesn't even have a Microphone of any kind.

"It'd also be a slap in the face to people who got scholarships..." I had full ride scholarships and funding for my education, but I recognize how lucky I am and don't want the vast majority of less-privileged people to spend their lives struggling with crippling debt.... That would only be a slap in the face if I was a narcissist....

100% agree. I had $30k in loans after school and that is low to a lot of people. I finished paying them off last year just under ten years and if future students can have free/actual affordable education I’m all for it. Just cause I financially suffered doesn’t mean others need to in “fairness”

    • Sabrynah Ish
      Sabrynah Ish Il y a 17 jours

In the UK education used to be free. Now, you have to pay and it sucks. I feel bad for my daughter. While I didn’t pay a penny for my education, she will need to- and it sucks that as parents, we are thinking about that while she’s only 2. I really don’t understand Charlottes comment about it being a slap in the face to people who already have paid their debts. Does she not realise education is free in other countries??? Really confused about this mindset.

I also had a full ride academic scholarship and still ended up with a bunch of student loans because everything else is also expensive and my parents couldn't help at all. It's all paid off now, but I'd be thrilled if others didn't have to go into crippling debt to get a college education. I don't understand the "I suffered, so so should you" mindset at all. I thought, as a society, we were trying to make life better for those coming after us. I get being jealous, but not feeling like it's a slap in the face.

    • vechnoezabvenie
      vechnoezabvenie Il y a 3 mois +1

@Alexia Kelley The problem with an excessively expensive education is not about how many people need it. It's about the fact that undeserving, but rich, people can take up college vacancies that some much smarter, much more hardworking, but poorer people could otherwise have, which could benefit both them and society.

    • Addi Pose
      Addi Pose Il y a 3 mois

@Alexia Kelley I don’t think it so much needs to be free college per say, but affordable college. And while community colleges are generally more affordable, it’s still a lot for some people, especially those working a low paying job and barely making ends meet. While I agree not getting a college degree and moving up in a company could be an alternative, from what I’ve seen and experienced that’s a rarity. It works for some people but for a lot of others it just turns into a dead end job and a repeating cycle. And employers who actually pay yearly salaries or decent wages tend to want a bachelor’s degree nowadays (or at least prefer them), even for basic company positions. I do think it’s good that they’ve started doing loan forgiveness programs for some degrees, like for a lot of education majors. I think that is something that should become more common acrossed the board. Obviously with adequate provisions and requirements, but I think it would help a lot of people. I’m currently an elementary/special education major, and the pel grant I got is honestly the only reason I could afford to go back to college, so thankfully I don’t have to worry about loans yet. But I just feel like there has to be a better way to create the system. And I’m not by any means trying to be rude or start and argument. This is just 3 a.m. thoughts meant as friendly discussion :)

About the phone thing. Freaking out because someone reached for your phone “even as a joke” doesn’t mean hiding something. Honestly plenty of people just find that incredibly disrespectful and a violation of trust, even if they themselves are 100% honest and faithful. Ask, don’t grab. Also, personally it freaks me out because people reaching for my belongings without permission is a big no no, call it trust issues but I’ve had stuff damaged from people “playing”

I have saved some important information on my phones like passwords, pictures and my work schedule which i wouldn't even give to my family members.
That's why i hide it and keep a lock on it.One time i left my phone unlocked to do something quickly and my niece(a year younger)send derogatory text to my friend.I got back and i saw that she already responded.Luckily my friend understood the situation. Some people are just real assholes who like to do "pranks" which may cause severe damage.
That's why i never leave my phone unlocked.

Honestly yeah. I hate it when anyone wants to use my phone, and I'm not hiding anything. Someone just grabbing it would seem like a total violation of privacy. Phones are more than just a way of communication now. They have our hopes, dreams, financial information, and pretty much anything else you can think of inside. That being said, I wouldn't freak out if someone grabbed it. I would remain calm, or as calm as possible anyways lol!

Some of us have had negative experiences when someone has used our phone. I have lots of friends... We are a-holes to each other, but we love each other. For example, I have friends that will DM the girl I like in order for me to make a move when I normally wouldn't.. I hate them for it, but it is what it is.

not to mention having an ex who for the entire two and a half years we were together would take my phone anytime we were hanging out and block my childhood best friend because said best friend is a girl and i’m into women. she’d also threaten me as well as verbally, emotionally, and physically abuse and manipulate me whenever she saw something on my phone pop up that happened to be from another woman even when 9 times out of 10, it was from my best friend or my mother.

    • Rusti Johnson

this! growing up (more or less from ages 12-18) my parents used to take my phone when i was sleeping and go through it even when i didn’t have anything to hide. but even things that most parents wouldn’t care about got me in trouble. they’d also take my phone whenever i was on phone calls with friends to hang up on them and then go through my phone to find a reason to ground me (usually the reason being that I had friends that weren’t my parents lmao?) so whenever people grab my phone, my automatic response is to protect it because of what my parents did. i pay for my own phone bill now so i don’t have to worry about them taking my phone but yeah it definitely traumatized me

    • Ashley
      Ashley Il y a 3 mois +3

My ex would often take my phone and go through it without my permission. I was faithful, but I did have private things on my phone like notes of my thoughts, convos with friends, photos I took of myself that I wouldn’t necessarily want others to see. He would take my finger in my sleep and unlock my phone. Then he would go out of his way to find anything he could twist to be upset with me. It was a very controlling, gaslighty, toxic relationship and the jealousy and emotional abuse was traumatic. The entire time we dated (7 yrs), he didn’t let me see his phone once and absolutely was flirting with other girls behind my back. My current partner doesn’t freak when I need to use his phone and I could not care less if he went through mine either (which he never has, nor has he shown interest in doing so!!), because I know he wouldn’t judge me or twist anything into something more. Woo transparency and healthy communication!

So let me get this straight ~ it would be a slap in the face to forgive student debt to everyone who already paid their debt, or who worked to earn the tuition before going to school? Does that mean that universal healthcare so that every can be taken care of is a slap in the face to anyone who died because they couldn't afford to go to a doctor? Maybe we can just accept that our education (and healthcare) system is classist and elitist and that it needs to be fixed to make it more affordable for everyone going forward.

It's exactly what's going on in The Netherlands right now. We used to have free schooling, and then in 2015 we switched to a loan system. Understandably we were all very upset about this, and it's going to be switched back in 2023, but it does mean that 8 years of students (about 1 million) is left with debts. The current government promised the people they ripped off about €3000,- back, but that's nothing compared to the debt. It's a horrible situation to be in

I once freaked out when my mother started going through my phone after I asked her to skip a song while I was driving. I, like many others, had nothing to hide. It was our agreement that when I got a phone my mom would be allowed to look through it every once in a while just to check up I guess. But the other side of that is that she had to ask me first or tell me she was going through my phone. I freaked out because she took advantage of a moment of trust that I gave her to change my music while I was incapable. If she would have asked if she could look through my phone s well I would have been fine with it. Idk, phones are just a private little world and people taking advantage to snoop around in it hurts.

I have nothing to hide, but I do value my privacy. I don't really get the whole "if you don't want to share with the whole world, you must be hiding something" mentality. @Ryan Smith I agree. What blows me away about some of these comments is they think we will not have doctors or lawyers if we don’t pay for their college. First, people have entered those fields for decades without asking for the public to pay. Second, the people whining to get their schooling paid for are likely going to the useless degrees. Like lesbian dance theory.

As a student who was one term away from their degree when their financial aid ran out and having no credit history to even get a loan some of us financially impaired people only used financial aid to get threw college and since we couldn’t afford or even get loans why should tax payers pay for you to go to school when there are programs like grants and financial aid that could instead be boosted with the money that you all want for loans so people who genuinely can’t afford it and have no other resources (perhaps people with disabilities who can’t work or afford school on their ssi) could go to school. If you don’t want to pay a loan DONT ACCEPT ONE!!!! It’s literally that simple. Get grants, scholarships, financial aid, or save up working a McJob to pay for school like most of the not entitled spoiled brats do. You make the choice to take the loans so you should pay them. No one forced you to accept loans. Look into your opinions for F sake

Okay, i just have to say. I disagree with both parts of the “sex-change” one. I do think it is unreasonable to dump your man after asking a question like that if you are secure in your gender/sex. It just seems like it would be a situation disconnected from you if thats not something you’re actually considering. However, I also disagree with the response saying a sex-change would be “unreasonable” and calling it an “eccentricity”. Yes, if you personally are going through the experiences that come with being trans and would like to transition and your partner disagrees. Absolutely dump them. Its not about them in any way. If they’re not comfortable with it thats fine, but do not stay with them if thats the case. As a trans person who dated someone like this for almost two years and who quite literally told me he would decide if he wanted to respect my pronouns based on if “he was comfortable with it” I can personally say being in this kind of relationship is very very harmful. He told me he would break up with me if I was trans so I held myself back from being who I am because I didnt want to lose him. I wish I hadn’t done that, it wasn’t worth it and hurt me much more than it helped me.

I can understand people being upset if they paid their stuff back cuz some people get student loans to pay for cell phones, cars, food, nights out, clothes, etc… and it has nothing to do with school. I took out a student loan and bought a car, so why is it fair for me to pay all that back but everyone else can take out loans, blow the money, and it’s just cool?

@Lauren Webb I'm late to the party but would like to add that all the specializations at my uni that are super important are barely filled each semester whilst the diversity nonsense is overrun. Nobody wants to do Finance because it's a shit ton of work and we all cry at night over it, nobody wakes up at 7 am on a Sunday hard for Black-Scholles. Ont he other hand, Diversity Management is filled with utter nonsense, people get easy As and also get to skip classes for literally any bullshit they booked abroad in a summer program. I almost resent my country for not having student loans sometimes. I'd rather study the proper stuff with fewer people that constantly hear about genderstudies every break.

As a vet, I disagree with the “forgiving student debt as a slap in the face” to someone that felt they had to enter the mil in order to avoid it. Why does she feel like the next generation needs to suffer the same fate she did? And not every one is fit for the military. I don’t want that to be the only option for my children and others children. And consider how much extremely more expensive higher education is now.

Just a note for covering the panel behind you. Most internet related equipment (ie routers, modems, etc) use passive heat reduction. (No fans). It is crappy and usually results in failures in the equipment after a year or so. Check how open the inside of that panel is. If it isn't that open of a space, there is a pretty strong need for air flow then.
When covering the panel, use something that can leave up to a 1"gap between it and the panel so air can circulate freely. Otherwise the temperature in the panel box may raise, which has a direct correlation to your equipments life expectancy. 👍

@V Sand I’ve clearly touched a nerve. It’s the way politicians and media want things: everyone reads waaaay too much into simple interactions and gets pushed to anger with basic presentations of information. I never referenced your children, as I wouldn’t know anything about the makeup of your family. I referenced research that clearly links lower education opportunities with lower quality of life. That is a sociological observation, not a personal one. Saying “societies with lower education levels have higher crime rates, higher instances of untreated mental health and lower overall well-being” is NOT the same as saying “anyone without a college education is a miserable criminal with mental health issues.” I said the first thing; I DID NOT say the second. It’s the irony that goes with the ideological polarization that’s so rampant in this country these days: people like me who want EVERYONE’S life to be better are presumed to be disdainful of others for their education or career choices. I’m not.
To clarify another misinterpretation of yours: I am a veteran who worked in the trades, got a college education that I paid for myself, and am now in a position where my family and I would likely pay far more in taxes to support publicly funded college than your children would. And I’d gladly do it. Believe it or not, there are some of us who are willing to pay more to ensure others get the same opportunities we’ve had.

    • V Sand
      V Sand Il y a 10 mois +3

@Rolbell actually it’s you that is short sighted. Please tell me who’s going to build your home? Who’s going to install that toilet you sit on while watching FRclip videos? What about people who learn differently than the structure of school requires? What a disgustingly elitist answer in your second point. My sons are not criminals because they went into the trades. Tradesmen actually do very well. My son is 23 years old with two children. He bought a house more than a year ago, he supports his wife and children. She does not have to work. If you want to steal his wages for your college education and your children’s college education. Why don’t you just act responsibly and pay your bills like he does? Why don’t you save money for the things that you want, like college? Why do you have to take from a hard-working young man who just wants to raise his family?

    • Rolbell
      Rolbell Il y a 10 mois +11

@V Sand short-sighted take for at least two reasons:
      1) If education is free for anyone to pursue, those hard-working construction workers could go back to school and get a degree to become even higher-wage earners.
      2) Extensive research shows higher-educated populations have lower crime rates, lower poverty rates, higher standards of living, and higher overall health and well-being amongst their populations. So, paying for my fellow citizens to become better educated is as much benefit to me as it is to them. The same way we pay for roads and infrastructure, even though we don’t use every bit of it ourselves.

Perhaps there are things that are unfair, imbalanced, difficult in our lives that may have made us stronger or other positive character attribute. . . but that doesn't mean I think the next generation should have to suffer, toil, etc the same way I did. Depends on the mask and what Heath issues you have. I too have a hard time breathing through a mask and can’t wear cloth ones (I breath hard due to health issue and they always suck up against my face). But anyone who wants to think people can’t have a hard time breathing through a mask should consult any one of the thousands of doctors that set people up with special cards which provide proof the person is legally and legitimately not required to wear a mask.

so on the education/military thing. the chances are of every single person, especially a female, having to worry about killing or getting killed is very low. so doing something like I did, joining the air force, and having a job such as one of the many aircraft maintenance jobs means they I'm pretty protected from the war scenario because the fight isn't where they are parking the jets and we need to make sure the jets are always working.
someone arguing a point with a lack of knowledge makes for a poor argument even if it comes across as sounding very good.
I learned a long time ago, if you aren't well versed in the subject, don't argue anything about it, such as: cars, the military, computers, kids, specific types of pets, accounting, and many other things.
another great video. just wanted to throw my 2 pennies.

The first time I tried to wear a mask at work I took it off moments later having trouble breathing….. because I was having an anxiety attack since I hate things on my face.
It’s been 2 years of having to wear them at work and my doctors appointments with no breathing problems.

From what I know The Sims isn't about being empathic or constructive but turning the city into a hellscape where everyone is captured in the same pool. Or maybe I'm doing it wrong...

@MsBuchnerd - Amelie I accidentally killed a character in Sims 3. Hot tip: don't immediately try to repair an electronic right after being electrocuted... that second zap will kill you.

This is the way. Everyone knows the drill, put them in the pool, build a perimeter. Or put a rug in front of a fire, put a recliner on the rug and make a sim have a little warm nap. Alternately the cheapest option I've found is to just build walls around a sim and voila. I like to build a house around the walled up sim, windows on it and chairs for viewing. The sims is not a wholesome game, it is however very therapeutic

So the Braveheart girls wore masks to get in, took their mask off to take their picture. And most likely put their masks back on before getting kicked out so they could post about being rebels.

First of all, THAT DINOSAUR KILLS ME EACH TIME! I love it! And second, I just leave my phone away altogether because I don't even want to see it OR hear it when I'm spending time with someone. When I'm with someone, guy, girl, or other, they get my full attention.

"Millenials are so helpless".... um who raised those millenials not to know super basic skills like how to sew a button? Maybe its not their fault, ever thought of that Patricia?

@Sandra Dee Home Ec was probably the most practical and useful class I ever took. I learned how to follow recipes, sew, cook, clean, etc. I would not mind taking an adult version of it!!

@lang 1007 im pretty sure in the video the millennial was taking active steps to improve themself? and this comment is for those that classify things like sewing as a "basic skill"; if it's that basic, it should be taught growing up. If it's not, then don't make fun of people trying to improve.

I used to have problems breathing with a mask, so I bought an oximeter (I'm Asthmatic so it's not a bad investment) to prove it. I tested me breathing normal, and then through the mask... and got the same result. If it's really hot and humid (Florida) I do struggle, but people with healthy lungs complaining, gets my blood pressure up!

5:10 there is absolutely such a game and it is freaking fantastic! It is called Persona 5. It's about inoroving yourself and helping others around you. You also help steal the heart of those who are doing bad things and mistreating people. It also has aspects where you improve your self care with studying and working out. But crazily enough it's actually dope. Def check it out.

Former service technician for a commercial energy management company here... the slits in the door panel are what provide airflow. Heat naturally rises, so a natural draft is created by the warmer air escaping from the top vents while drawing air in through the bottom vents. They help keep all that expensive equipment happy :) You could take the door off the hinges and overlay a zen-ish wall paper or something to match your other wall art (just dont block the vents).

I'd take the $70 million dollars. With that amount of money, I could help eradicate homelessness in my area. I'd also be able to travel more (once it's safe to do so), which would put me in a position to meet more men who MAY be quality human beings capable of monogamous relationships.

@Jason Sherman I could be wrong, but I think he meant she should just leave it as it is, and we should enjoy it as art itself, like those who see the toilet in a museum as art or whatever. Then again, could be wrong. ;oD

What kind of mask is that? One of these "breathe play" masks, and he's using it wrong? Dear Bill, I recommend finding a qualified Dominatrix to guide you through that.
