When my husband and I were young newlyweds we had NO MONEY. So, on Valentine's Day, we would go to the card store and shop for cards separately. After each of us had found the perfect card we would meet up, exchange them, read them, and look at each other with bright-eyed loving looks. Then we would promptly put them back and stroll out of the card shop hand-in-hand. We are financially stable now and still do it as a tradition, just for fun!

As a mom, when I couldn’t afford “stuff” for holidays, I made “princess days”. We would have our simple meals of her favorites, but served on the “fine China” with the juice in champagne goblets, then spa day stuff like painting nails, massage, etc. She knew she wasn’t the center of the world, but she was/is the center of MY world. She loved it and is now a loving/giving well-rounded adult.

      My Mom did 'Ethnic Night'.
From library she'd get cookbook, cd and folktales from Random country.
We'd eat the food, learn the stories, dance to music, ask questions and learn about the culture. We adopted some of the holidays and traditions too.
Not many 4y.os know about Nairobi/Malaysia/Peruvian culture, we did.
      Thx Mom

My family has never been into huge diamonds mostly because my great grandfather and great grandmother came to the United States from Ireland with nothing. My grandparents got married during the Great depression. And my parents thought diamonds were intrinsically worthless on top of the whole blood diamond thing. Personally if my boyfriend gave me a vending machine ring or a Ring Pop I'd love it because it doesn't matter what type of ring you have it matters who you get to marry and have a life with

@Chloe Crawford I have a gold rose with the 1/3 karat diamond in the middle. I love my ring but that sucker has caught on things 3 times and dislocated my ring finger 3 times 😳
Hubs got me a men's pinky ring with 3 of the most beautiful diamonds ever for our 20th anniversary (just had our 34th anniversary a couple weeks ago)and its channel set so nice and smooth.
Lots of jeweler's have looked and wanted to "make it all girly for you" sure you could but I love it as is. One snarky B said if my hubs loved me he'd have gotten a girly ring.
I waved her boss over(in true Karen fashion) and slowly explain why he got this one and if I wanted a shitty opinion I'd fart.
We don't take our jewelry there for repairs any longer.

I always love the people that somehow have the ability to sue someone at the drop of a hat, but complain about the cost of whatever it is they need. It took forever to save up $2400 for a vehicle and if it breaks down in a month, she will sue. Erm, with what money? Lawyers definitely aren't free (will likely cost you more than $2400). Good luck with that though.

@Linden Peters This is so true. It's not that anyone teaches us on purpose, but we get this awful messaging drilled into our heads constantly by society, media, watching other people etc.
Women are definitely less likely to be raised to speak directly, firmly and straightforwardly. We get grief if we do. We are encouraged to sidle, sneak, hint and manipulate to get what we want, and it's extremely screwed up, affecting all of us - males, females or otherwise!

My partner and I both have siblings on the spectrum, which I feel like has helped our communication skills so much. We grew up knowing not to bother dropping hints- just say it like it is. I actually walked into the room the other day and said “I’ve always wanted a signature perfume scent, but don’t want to pick it myself because I want you to like it… if you want to just pick out a modestly priced perfume for my birthday, that would work!” 😂 He gave me a thumbs up, and we are all good!

    • Linden Peters

Don't worry. That has nothing to do with autism and everything to do with too many women being taught to not say what they mean. They set expectations for others without telling anyone, then get mad when those expectations aren't met. Then they wonder why they are alone. (It's because no one can live up to your expectations when you keep them a secret)

Several years ago I was working at a local craft fair to sell some of the smaller items I make for my company. It's not uncommon for me to get repeat customers at these small-town events, as they're family oriented and bring out local businesses and crafters. This was the case this very day. A woman who I had sold to at an event the previous November came up to my clothing rack and said, "Oh you're still doing this? That is so cute." Insulting much? I looked her in the eye and said, "Still running my company, and earning my livelihood? Yes." Anyway, she proceeded to ask me if I could give her a discount on a coat she had found since she had bought from me before. I reminded her that this is still my livelihood and I can't give discounts. When I turned to a new customer who was asking a question, she put the handmade coat back on the rack sloppily and walked away. Thought I would throw this in since it's an Entitled People video.

Here's one: I work at a high-end spa as a receptionist and we sell really expensive skincare products. I mean in like the 100$+ range. This older lady comes in and has me ring up a 200ish$ face cream. She looks at the price and says "Why is it 200$? Last year it was 195$."
I answer "Idk it's probably because of inflation."
She says "Well that's not fair because I'm not getting paid more! Prices shouldn't just change like that."
LADY. You are complaining that you don't get paid more and that you have to pay an extra five bucks for a ridiculously overpriced face cream to a MINIMUM WAGE WORKER. Just buy your stupid cream and go away.

Standing ovation for the message to "influencers." We've been asked for free stuff before, for people with only 50 followers or so... Come on... You saying you bought yourself flowers for Valentines Day, reminded me of something my dad did years ago (in the 1980's). i had started a new job in late January and worked in an office with about 5/6 other women. They were all married or in long term relationships and i was single. My dear sweet dad sent me a dozen roses because he didn't want me to be the only one not to get something for Valentines Day...i was the only one who got anything! Nope, she doesn't have a better chance because of her personality. In an ideal world, that would be true, but despite education, volunteer work, excellent aptitudes and loving personality, men are still going to judge how you look. Also, if you are too educated or have a good job and make good money, plenty of men will be intimidated and insecure, and others will try to mooch off of you. A woman's accomplishments mean nothing if she is not pretty in most men's eyes, some even prefer women to be uneducated. We always judge a woman's looks no matter how much she may have accomplished. It's sad. I think there are plenty of amazing women out there, but men obsess over IG girls and porn.

@SnailMailMagic so basically if for foreigners the girls post sounds so classist, racist and all kinds of wrong I do understand the reason why she says it: if you are a woman you need to have money for the dowry and all future perks you are giving the husband's family for life after marriage, and on top of that (as if that wasn't enough) they want you beautiful, skinny, fair skinned, submissive... not saying EVERYONE is like that but it seems like that's the majority of cases and it makes my blood boil when I think about it

Birthdays and holidays were always fun regardless of whether we had much or not. By the time the kids were all n elementary school, I started taking my refund check and picking them up and whisking them off to a hotel suite in the area. This was their weekend with Auntie and their cousin. They all would order room service and movies and stay up until they passed out! W had the Best time! We stuffed ourselves, played games, went swimming anything they could think of, we did it. No was not in the vocabulary that weekend. I miss those days. Now they have their own kids.

I was selling a pendant for 45.00 dollars. which was originally 60.00 dollars. This lady wanted 25.00 dollars for it and blamed covid for putting her in tough spot. I was like no. This isn't some piece of jewelry you buy at the mall. People man...

Your = possesive (e.g. Your dog)
You're = you + are (the apostraphe always means you are joining two words together to abbreviate)

My first car was a cabrio and it was in amazing condition. I sold it to a girl that crashed it backing up and her parents told my parents they wanted their money back 🤣🤣🤣

I was with you in this video until the end & you said "I feel for you" to the chick who said she had a problem with dark skin. No feels for colorists.

I don't think she was saying she agreed with them saying she had a problem with dark skin I think she was satisfied "I feel for yoy" that it's hard to find a partner.

Okay so I have a note on the tinder message about “let’s cut to the chase”. I think that was honest, I mean many ppl want that but they don’t say it upfront because they fear being judged. At least that person was upfront about what they wanted right? At least they would not be wasting anybody’s time. Tho I think it could be framed in a polite manner but well it’s really the person’s choice.

Facts!!! But I don't understand the whole engagement ring thing either (cultural differences). But I will definitely want to pick out our wedding rings with my SO. So we'll birth like it! 😊

@Terra Marini This is what you do. I will never understand why couples don't just discuss their preferences and concerns beforehand. It would save so much trouble. If a person's future spouse is really entitled, they'd see it *before* they bought the ring. They'd also avoid getting something that their future spouse dislikes.

So weird how some girls don't want no " used" diamond, when even if you buy a brand new diamond ring from zales, chances are the diamond in it came out of something else in the past.

Jesus the entitlement is just, wow. There are so many people like this. Stop dropping subtle hints about what you want as a present. Just freaking say it.

15ish minute mark: I'm indian and I knew RIGHT away from the first couple of sentences that this was an Indian girl ranting. The "L" means "lakh" which is a unit of measurement of rupees in India. 1 lakh rupees = about $1348 USD. It's considered a big amount of money. A hospital bill worth a few lakhs could be crippling to a low-to-middle class income household.

I would like to see Charlotte interviewing interesting people , not just celebs, but other FRcliprs, or people who do local community and charity work, Maybe even film on location, I think also product and venue reviews would be great with Charlotte's illuminating effervescent yet genuine and personable personality.

When multiplying a number by 100, simply take the two zeros from 100 and add them to your number (also woks with 0 from 10, 000 from 1000, 0000 from 10 000, etc.). Love your videos btw, you have a very contagious laugh and I love your commentary! :)
