On the prenup one, just for the record, that agreement would've been totally unenforceable as unconscionable in the first place. First and foremost, you cannot determine child custody in a prenuptial agreement, as child custody is always determined by the Court after evaluating the best interests of the child, so that term would've been invalid outright. Then, to hit her with a prenup TWO DAYS before the wedding without any prior notice or time to retain an attorney for proper negotiations AND to have that agreement give EVERYTHING to the husband would be clear evidence to the Court that the agreement was not entered into voluntarily. It's good they had it rescinded though; saves the Court time of looking at it later and going "da fuck is this nonsense?" 🤣

It's not like she could really have said anything about the day of the wedding given the time and tension in the circumstances and the mother-in-law knew it.........

Exactly. My cousin received one without understanding the legal jargon which basically boiled down to she would not receive any child support as well as other ridiculous claims. Lawyer and judge friends told her that it would be tossed out immediately. She didn't end up getting married to that guy and his net worth was about 1/6th of hers.

Not only do I think she doesn't want him back because I think this is just telling him to come be a parent to his kids but to go with it seeing as how she's leaning against a pregnant woman's belly I'm assuming that they're not even her kids it's her friend or her sister and she feels protective which I mean if he's already at 3 and being a deadbeat dad to them I kind of can't blame her..... She says that the daughter cries and calls for “dada” so maybe she just want her kids to have their dad close and not grow having a trauma or missing him all the time.
The mother of a friend of mine would tell her that her father would work all day and only came home at night to rest but that he kissed their forehead everyday before leaving to work when in fact he had abandoned the three of them (her mother, brother and herself) just to not bring trauma and scars to the kids + not create hate or show how bad and unfair the world can be since they were both just little kids. Turns out he had another family and left them to live out of state.

Some people I followed too would talk about the negative comments they would receive, so even when it’s not the kind of content I’m interested in, it’s still there. Also, I love animal rescue videos too and it’s very sad to see people comment horrible things about those videos too 😢

@Eleanorvictoria14 u misunderstood. Now I’m talking middle school-high school age. Emotional ish mattered more at that point in most peoples lives. Back in7th I started growing my hair out n dudes was like, them braids make u look like a girl. Jokes along that aspect and by 10th my hair was longer than most girls, especially black girls. The girls really liked it. Then the dudes who were clownin me suddenly were askin my stylist(girl in school who did my hair) to do their short new growth. I went to a white school and was like a “cool black kid” and I had many imitators. It gets offensive tho. Not always or everyone. Some people don’t know how to speak to people and ignorance can run deep even without hate.
I personally never understood the point of being upset or offended if someone imitates your style or hair.
Life is too hard to worry about the small stuff.

I’d be concerned about marrying an adult that lets their mom make those decisions like a prenuptial.
Best bet would be is they didn’t want their wedding day to be ruined. Wanted it to go smoothly. Also maybe she would bug them about it their entire marriage and that would have a huge affect on their relationship, possibly ending in divorce. Some MIL’s are crazy
@my tube since I'm not privy 2 the intimate details of their marriage, I have no idea, nor does it really matter to me. At the end of the day, they had it rescinded and in my opinion, that's what matters.
@Chrissie Carpenter he obviously did because it cannot be rescinded unless it was signed by both parties making it legal. Why would either of them sign it though what does that woman hold over them?
To some of the comments, it could've been the case that the to-be husband was in on conning her mother, that he's standing up to her in a covert way that results in the MIL not messing up the wedding. Also, while I was already pretty skeptical of a prenup 2 days before the wedding would stand up in court, I'm curious what the (state) law was that allowed them to not wait for that and to immediately rescind it.
@Jen Shaw tbh we don't know when she told him, it could've been before she signed it, cuz we know that she told him at some point, cuz they went to a lawyer together to have it rescinded, she doesn't say specifically when she told him tho. I think they handled the situation perfectly, the MIL thinks all is good in prenup land, keeping her from making a scene/stressing the bride to be out, but the bride to be is relaxed, knowing that her soon to be husband doesn't give a damn about a prenup....win/win🤷🏼

My mother in law (who I get along great with now) refused to go to my wedding because we got married at a courthouse instead of doing some big extravagant wedding (on our dime) and invite over 100 of HER friends.

I adore my mother in law. She’s made me feel like a daughter since the day I met her 34 years ago. We get laughing so hard sometimes, and add my mom to the mix and it’s just super fun to hang out with her ❤️ before the pandemic we had Sunday dinner at her house with usually about 10 family members every single week. I miss that so much!
My MIL hates me. She told me I was a horrible mother for working at a place that pays more instead of staying home (we can’t afford that). Told me I mistreated my step son too just because I won’t let him steal or hurt animals. I honestly thought she liked me until I was told after my miscarriage that I just wasn’t meant for kids like her daughter whose had 5. But don’t get me wrong, I know wonderful people who are MILs. Gorgeous women in and out who show people kindness and remind us love exists in this world!! You guys rock for that!

This reminds me of how much I LOVE being a boring person. My biggest drama is my kitty fussing about being able to see the bottom of her food dish. I think my wife & I got all drama'ed out in our younger years... Thankfully!

However, my life with my three cats, especially #IsisTheAlphaFemale especially when SHE sees the bottom of the food bowls, she yowls as if she is being starved and neglected. I just look at her and say things like, "You are NOT STARVING!" Of course, I also get the bag of cat food and shake it to let her know that since she simply cannot eat food from a bowl that shows her the bottom of it, then I shall add more.
By the way, Durga, the Cat and Bast, the Kitten do NOT have this issue.
Clearly, my life is far from boring, too.

@SLS TheWriter I get what you're saying, and we don't know the whole story, but I knew a couple who went through something very similar, the prenup was presented within a week of the wedding, the husband stood up to his family, and said she's not going to sign it if she doesn't want to, and they cut him and his future children out of their Wills. They divorced like 12 years later but ya, it was a nasty divorce and my friend would have got screwed big time if she would have gave in and signed it.

Mine is awful and crazy and has tried to steal my kids for the last 17 years. She always wanted a girl and didn't get one. I absolutely hate this woman. She's done everything she can to destroy me and everyone else around her. My BIL had muscular dystrophy and she was mentally, physically and financially abusive to him. He was all within his faculties so there was nothing we could do.

@B Hart I think they're a good idea for PRE-EXISTING assets & children. But anything that attempts to lay out precise future custody for kids not yet born will just get laughed out of court.
Precisely. I still don't understand why anyone is against them though. It's marriage insurance. It should be the norm for 2 people to get their own lawyers & hammer out what constitutes the boundaries of the marriage & what happens if A, B, C, & D happen. Who gets custody if the marriage fails. Fidelity clauses for both parties. Just seems like good idea so everyone is on same page & no one has unrealistic expectations & everyone knows the consequences if they overstep the boundaries, keeps everyone honest & avoids drawn out messy divorces cuz division of assets is already established before marriage.

I had a childhood friend that became a hairdresser. Every time I went to get my hair done by her, she wouldn't cut it the way I wanted it cut. She would cut my hair the way she had her hair cut. THEN, she started telling people that she was adopted. I am adopted. She is not adopted. It got a little crazy so I stopped being friends with her. WTF.

my friend told us on wednesday she was getting married on friday. We never met the guy!! So, I researched and asked if I could be there at the ceremony, she said yes. we met up at their house that morning and he let me grill him, and he was cool with it. He was like, how do you know this stuff, she be like, "women are better than the FBI!" LOL They're still happily married. And I was glad to be there to support her.

I think I learned a valuable lesson when I was married. There are some things worth getting pissed or jealous about and some that just don't matter. My husband cheated on me with a chic who was actually at our wedding 5 years earlier. We fought all the time he accused me of cheating while he was in Iraq and I was still stationed stateside but the truth is he was the one cheating with another female soldier from his unit while he was in Iraq. See the stigma is that the wives back home are the ones doing all the damage while the poor soldier is fighting a war in another country. Well that's not always true and while he was the one cheating he also got me kicked out of our apartment by calling our landlords and telling them a bunch of lies and then tried calling my command and telling them I was cheating too well they told him if he had no proof there was nothing they could do which of course there was no proof because I wasn't but he was. Every day at lunch this man would call me and have me in tears going off on me for one thing or another and I took it because I was young and thought I was in love and I never suspected that he was the one cheating. He even had my fellow soldiers I worked with ready to beat his ass for all the crap he put me through. My lesson was that usually its the ones accusing that's really cheating. Not all the time but alot of times. Also it's not just the spouse back home that does the cheating and breaking hearts. I also learned that if it really upsets you that your man or woman is simply speaking to or liking a picture of someone else then you probably shouldn't be with that person. If there is real legitimate proof that your person is doing something wrong then that's reason to get mad but getting mad just because they like something or simply apeak to someone else that's just childish. Be confident in yourself and your relationship and if it truly is that hard to do so then you don't have a healthy relationship if you distrust that person so much that it bothers you for something as harmless as talking to someone else then or liking another person pictures it's not healthy. I look at it like this unless you have valid proof that your significant other is cheating on you I would not cause a bunch of drama because one you could be ruining a good thing if that person really is not getting on you or two if that person is cheating on you you are putting yourself through hell for someone who's not worth it because in the end the truth always comes out
Oh and my husband's truth came out when he came back from Iraq and I found actual pictures and videos of him screwing this woman he was in Iraq with on the laptop that I bought him to take to Iraq with him. This was 2 years after it all started.
Glad I grew up in the 80’s when the internet was only a dream….
