you are a good singer. I have heard you sing a few times in your vids and, as a musician, I think you should use this wonderful talent.. unless I am making an assumption that you don't already?. Either way, you have talent as a vocalist.
Whenever you have the time and are feeling in the right frame of mind to do so, is the right time, hon. No complaints ever from me.

*Just for the record, whether a mile is a long way or not is relative. : I broke my back when I was a teen, and walking is very painful: I usually try and keep "walks" to less than 2 city blocks or less. On the same note though, if you're gonna beg rides, you'd damn well better have either something to trade, or money for cabfare!*

I'm a woman in her 70s, and I just love your attitude and humor. You are the modern-day equivalent of Dear Abby and Miss Manners, with the added bonus of humor and getting to the point. I think a casting agent somewhere is going to steal you away from us and put you in a TV series or movie. Hopefully you will be writing your own lines as well.😍

Being a parent of one naturally entitled 14 yr old, (mostly my fault…I understand. But the oldest and the youngest of the 3 didn’t act this way) , who didn’t have the clothes she wanted clean one morning, had the audacity, AUDACITY!, to say to me, and I quote, “you have a washing machine, why don’t you use it”!!!! That was the very day she started doing her own laundry!!! I’m still amazed and bemused by that comment!!!
Props for at least recognizing it for what it is and trying to correct her behavior. There are quite a few people who would simply choose the easy route and deny it. You’re doing your daughter a real favor by correcting her now. I wish you both the best of luck.
@Sherry Jee I don't think that's entirely fair to say. Teenagers are going through so much emotional and social development in that time and they're more likely to act up during that time than ever as they test the boundaries of their lives.
Sounds like the were just taking luxuries for granted. Without the full story it can't be said one hundred percent, but that comment was just uncalled for.

LOL the exact same thing happened in our house - when our daughter was 14 she got ticked because I was behind on laundry, I invited her to do a load if she's in a hurry to wear her special jeans. She replied, "but Mom, that's YOUR job!" ...the look on her face was instant regret, like a deer in headlights, she tried to fix it "I mean... like, you usually do it..." but it was too late! From that point forward she has been doing her own laundry, that was 2 years ago! Valuable lesson for her LOL!
I love when they say you're going to lose my business. What business? You want it for free, so you don't count as a client when you dont plan on paying a dime!

To all the parents out there that don’t believe in saying the word “no” to your kids or disciplining them (non physical, obviously) at all. You are creating the next generation of Karens.

Also, a little rule growing up from my mom during gift receiving: “you get what you get and you don’t get upset”. While shopping: “you can look, but you can’t touch” (unless you’re going to buy it, which only is an option if you have money as a kid). Those are the rules: no “and, ifs, or buts”.
The rule was if it was breakable, I kept my hands to myself. I could always touch things (I liked to feel fabrics and such) and want them but there was always a chance she was still going to say no. If she did, we would just shrug our shoulders. There was no arguing. If we wanted it bad enough, we asked for Christmas or our birthday.
Wow. That spoiled kid with the phone sounds like my step daughters. Both feel very entitled, like their mother. They hate me because I know how to say no. Hilarious 😄

As a dad myself, I respect you respecting us. If that was my daughter, I wouldn't get her ungrateful, entitled ass a damn thing, I'd tell her get a job and do it her damn self.
I will admit it!! I grew up extremely entitled and have some tendencies yet. I'm still learning. I married for love and my husband(my perfect opposite btw) is constantly calling me out. It is always a good laugh in our relationship. Love you CHAR!!

I was dying with this one. My brother does web design and I think he would not have been nearly as polite in his response, nor would he have just let the part of "letting people visit my website for free" go. 😂
I often wonder with those ones how long it takes them, and after how many contacts they've made with web page developers, to figure out the world doesn't quite work how they thought it did.

When I was single and found out my house needed some work... I could afford NOTHING so I asked around and had a bunch of workers show up and work. The deal was... they work I pay them at the end of each day with a huge bbq dinner and a few beers. It worked for me as I had all the help I needed and it worked for them as they got A few dollars for gas ect. And a free bbq dinner.
I recently found your channel and have been binge watching you for the last couple of days. I LOVE your humor so much as well as your side commentary. Thanks for bringing on the laughs and sharing your wonderful self with us all.💜

The baecation one reminded me of the time a guy I was seeing invited me to the beach for two weeks and paid for everything. It was great. We went to festivals, ate out every night. When we came back I found out he had stolen the money. I should have guessed because he was no more than 23yrs old, and he wasn't famous or anything to have made so much money already. 😅
My son walks 5 miles to work in Florida during the major heat and humidity when he can’t afford an Uber or I’m not home to help him. Welcome to life!
Right? Come on, get over yourself! I can’t relate to the heat thing, but where I live it gets very very cold, sometimes as low as negative 50s. At one point I had to walk like 5 Kms to work everyday. Guess what happens when you walk everywhere? Walking gets easier! 😂 💪

And this guy next to me looked at me I’m guessing to see my response would be and my normal comment “now that you are demanding it no we aren’t. If you asked kindly then I would have been open to it.”
The guy and the cashier nodded at me like “good job mom.” No entitlement up on my house!

for about 4 to 6 months some years ago I would walk just shy of 4 miles to work every morning. getting a ride home was alot easier to do. and I was VERY thankful for that lol. not to mention it was through the industrial area so the smell wasn't all that pleasant either lol
I payed for my latest vacation with my soon to be husband he is paying for the next one soon. We split vacations by one paying for room cost and splitting meal costs. :). People can't expect one person to just pay for everything unless your bf is a millionaire.
Hi Charlotte! I know this is one of your older videos but I love listening/watching you and I like re-watching as well. I know in this video you said you couldn't find any entitled people when selling, I had my own experience for the first time with someone who was entitled, I was selling a Gaming Chair that had a built in footrest, could recline, massage lumbar and I felt I was selling it for a reasonable price and It was in great condition (still is as it is now in my basement as my sewing chair), well this lady DM'd me asking about the chair I answered her questions and she agreed to my original price. Que like an hour or so later she DMs me again asking if I'll drop to price by a good chunk and I told her 'sorry no lowest I'll go is .... " and she started going off on me saying she could get the same chair from Walmart blah blah blah and I was just like 'then go to Walmart' so I thought that was the end of it. She then kept messaging me demanding I drop the price that what i was asking for was to much for a 'used' chair and I finally had to use Facebook 'law' against her stating that if she continued to harass me for this chair she will be reported and deleting messages at this point will do you no good as I took screens so pay my price or leave me alone.
So thought I'd share you in my own little story there, since you couldn't at the time find one :D again love your stuff Charlotte and have a GREAT day!!
I love that Charlotte is humble and not stuck up at all. After watching some other FRclip creators, I’ve come to realize that Charlotte really is special, in a good way. She isn’t haughty or snotty or mean, just kind, funny, and good hearted (unless she’s faking it, in which case she needs an Emmy!)
The vacation part remind me when I left my job to do my euro trip. One of my female colleague publicly told me that it would be great to do that trip (you know, the kind of way to ask when you espect the other guy to say "you can join if you want" but for nothing in return), so, publicly, with a smile, I said if you have 10000 € and 4 months off, yeah, you can. Needless to say, her face froze and my colleague laugh a lot…
My brother help my husband and I to paint our new house. I fed him for 3 days at 2 meals a day and he said it was totally worth it. He was a Chef at the time ...

A girl I went to beauty school was giving birth in Italy, and was really upset that the Italian nurses and doctors in the Italian hospital in Italy didn't speak English, and she couldn't communicate with them to get snacks and heated blankets.... because she hadn't bothered to learn Italian in the year she had lived there. Her Facebook posts make me feel better about myself. Cause I am not that entitled.

Hey! Love your channel and your sense of humour! Happy to see you are local too! I started using fb marketplace last summer and everything was great until oh my God I met the worst most entitled diva ever! My blood still boils when I think about the interaction and how she screwed me over. I could care less about the money but it was just her sense of entitlement. UGh! I was shocked at this woman’s behaviour at the time but after watching your show, I see that there are sooooo many out there! Thanks for making me laugh about it. ☺️.

I've gone on a vacation with an ex. It was the most uncomfortable week of my life. There was no expectations, but it was her family vacation and her parents had no idea we were together. I am happy I escaped that relationship.

Swear to God I used to walk 4 miles to work & about 5 miles to college when I first moved out on my own. It was hard to do. I would factor in the the heat increase/global warming that would factor in the extreme weather conditions. I was in my teens in the early 80's but we walked more than average on that era compared to others.

(6:30 for context) as someone who walked 3.3 miles (about 1 hour and 6 minutes) without stopping from school to my house, complaining about walking one miles is ludicrous to me.
I’ve bought once on fb marketplace , met the daughter of a older classmate & he came with her, was nice to catch up the last 50 years, 😂
My dad has passed away, I miss him so. I never in my entire life talked to or about him like that. I’m appalled. If her dad saw that I hope he took her phone from her and threw it out the door as far as he could.
@Roy G Biv valid criticism, but this level of entitlement makes for a generally fair assumption that the person is his daughter. Key word, generally. It may not be, but it probably is.

I especially liked the request for "volunteers" to do all that rehab work on the maple syrup farm. I work construction and that wasn't a small amount of labor they are asking for.
9:21 That one crosses the line of "entitled" and goes into "get out of my house" (if a minor, I'll give you a nice USED backpack with basic supplies and tell you to play in the woods from 8-5 pm; at 5 you can come home and make a sandwich for dinner). And since the phone is so "shitty", I'll make sure your room is stripped bare. A mattress, a sheet, a JAIL blanket and solid coloured t-shirts, sweatshirts and jeans from a thrift store is all you get. I don't care if it's winter in Alaska. I'll get you a Russian parka (good for Siberian cold) and thermal everything but you'll be outside. Hope you can build a fire.
As someone who always got given her dads hand-me-down phone until the day he died: "Be greatful for the things you get given and the people who give them to you. Life gets so much harder once you have to start buying everything yourself."

Tbf, they probably can’t afford the tools or parts to fix the fixer-upper either. Free knowledge on FRclip is only part of the equation. Even if it’s self-inflicted, poverty’s a bitch.
Edit: I was thinking of the car one not the house. For a house, estimate your repair costs and multiply by three. That’ll get you in the ballpark. Otherwise don’t even try..

The only person I'm a "giver" to is the 62 year old lady I work with. I would do anything for her, screw everyone else. Treat me like dirt, you get the same in return.
I think that you nailed it. As a general rule entitlement must be closely connected to a lack of pride, in an almost pathological degree.
