After all he's been through, I hope Johnny gets the love and peace he deserves. Also, from the perspective of a survivor of spousal abuse, that woman does a HUGE disservice to those with genuine experience of it and she's known as Amber Turd for more than the gift she left in Johnny's bed.

@Tara Mccormick Of all the tons of accusations … the huge chunk of wood from the bed she said his boot broke had a POCKET KNIFE ON THE BED!! I thought that was great work on behalf of Johnny’s lawyers.

I know what you mean I have a friend who was abused mentally and emotionally so when he and his wife divorced she claimed he was abusive to her by the end of the whole thing he was shaking and in tears just being there her own lawyer was mad and turned to her and said you know what no you answer this then after it was done her lawyer went and helped him fill out what papers he needed to it is sad that sometimes people will blindly believe that the man is guilty before proven he did a thing just because someone said so this makes me happy that people aren't buying her bull about Johnny

Actually he objected to the answer(but it was his own fault because of the nature of the question he decided to ask) but it was pretty funny lol seemed like he got all discombobulated with Mr. Ben King's testimony not adding up to the picture AH had painted. AH lawyers are getting rattled way too easily, she must have found them on Wish or something...

For everyone saying "I'm not taking sides" or "we need to hear both sides"
How many times does a liar have to lie for you to stop believing them? She lied about the makeup she used to cover bruises, she lied about never hitting johnny, she lied about her past relationship from which she got arrested for domestic violence, she lied about pooping in his bed, she lies about him peeing in a lobby, she lied about her personal drug and alcohol consumption... need I go on?
Shes a narcissist (like actually, Histrionic Personality Disorder is the most severe form of narcissism) who thought she's so good at acting and she's so much better than others she could get away with it and get the "deserved" fans, fame, and money she wanted.

To be fair I think at the start of any allegation you shouldn’t take sides, I think you should listen to and validate any accusation, whilst also asking important questions. Once you’ve heard both sides you can evaluate who is telling lies and who isn’t. That’s how we know someone is lying, by letting them speak and pointing out the inconsistencies. All the lies you’ve pointed out above are a result of listening to her, you can’t do that if you’re not prepared to hear her side. It’s a conversation the world needs to have in getting the right balance between believing the sprites of alleged victims of abuse regardless of gender (which wasn’t happening and still isn’t) and not hanging out the accused to dry until the questions have been asked.

    • Rigby Walabee
Rigby Walabee Il y a jour

@Lol Sike actually, the Milani color corrected is a product you can use to cover bruises which is what she claims her "bruise kit" was, but it wasn't even released until after the divorce AND a bruise kit is used to make bruises and the way she described applying it wouldn't cover anything....
So the product she claimed to use was a lie but she did slip up

    • Lol Sike
      Lol Sike Il y a jour +1

The makeup brand she used to allegedly 'cover' her bruises is actually a brand used to make bruises. It is used in theatre and acting in order to make scenes look more realistic by applying the makeup to ones face. It cannot cover bruises but make them.

I seriously think they are being lied to and misled. So, when they follow Amber's directions, they don't arrive at the same place they were told they would.
Someone on another thread summed it up very well. They asked: Do you think the biggest obstacle in Amber's team's defense is Amber? I would say: "Yes"!
These attys have to be, at least good. Or they wouldn't have gotten where they are in their careers. I really believe it's Amber, herself that is bringing them down.

That is my hope as well but, currently, it does not include victims with stories such as Amber Heard. Because these types of videos do affect victims in a negative way as well. Regardless of what everyone else thinks what is right or 'knows' what happened, victims see the vitriol against Amber and will know that they are not safe to express themselves if they have similar experiences.

    • helen_kat
      helen_kat Il y a 9 jours +6

The point of the tabloid headlines is trying to show that he already had a bad reputation prior to AH writing the Op Ed piece. That's the reason they were allowed in; because they weren't being offered to prove the truth of the statements in the headlines (though of course, AH's team would love the jury to take them as truth), but rather to try to argue that the Op Ed didn't cause all the damage alleged. Of course the fact that they were only tabloids and everyone knows tabloids generally write crap all the time about everyone famous without impacting their career limits their usefulness in that regard. But the facts are against AH there, so they're trying anything they can. Loved JD's responses.

  • Heather Warner
    Heather Warner Il y a 13 jours +23

Even if the defamation aspect becomes null...Johnny Depp has proven to the world that he is abused, that Amber Heard is an abuser and that JD is the GOAT. I always liked him but now I adore this man and have so much respect for him as a human being.

Because damn, she sounds like a horrible person the more i hear about it.

    • Sofia Briones
      Sofia Briones Il y a 6 jours +2

I know what you mean. With my own experience with rape culture(in my family)and abuse(my dad and brother), I've learned that you ALWAYS believe the victim...because you don't want the victim to feel like it was their fault or that they are lying. You want then to feel heard and protected, and that they matter.
So, as soon as I saw something about Johnny Depp abusing his ex-wife, I immediately thought, 'wow, that's a shame.' I didn't defend him(because I don't know him personally) nor did I come up with excuses for why he may have abused AH, etc. I'd always been a fan of Johnny Depp and it sucked that he was this "horrible person." But when I came across the leaked recordings, I changed my mind immediately. I'll admit I was relieved but also deeply disgusted that anyone would lie to gain pity and support and called themselves a DV victim when THEY are CLEARLY the abuser. When I heard AH in the recordings I could not believe it. There was NO WAY she was a victim. And then I saw her deposition and I flipped out. She sat there lying her ass off trying to seem innocent and like the victim, eating her fucking snacks, and just being all nonchalant. Whenever I had to go to court opposite my ex, I was shaking, I couldn't look at him(I was really scared of him at the time), I wanted to throw up(eating snacks was out of the question), I didn't want to be there, didn't want to be anywhere near him, and I spoke too softly(they had me repeat myself several times because I was nervous and I just wanted to get out of there away from him. This was my experience, I know not everyone reacts the same way but...I just don't believe AH, or any of the people who have testified for her. Sorry for the really long rant...AH really pisses me off lol

@Vio your 100% right. This was in the early 2000’s. When I met the grandson of Geronimo. We became friends and he told me his story. He was a large strong Army Scout. His wife was a small thin woman. He ended up in the ER several times from her beating him. She followed the exact power control cycle we apply to men. Later I worked in a womens prison. So many of the women would tell me..”I was never a victims, I was the perpetrator”.
I understand that we had to expose the abuse to get laws in place to protect women. But we are moving past that. It is now time to realize that children of abuse don’t follow a pattern of all boys becoming perpetrators and all women becoming victims. Men need to be recognized and not looked down upon as a wimp if they come forward.
The shelter I ran had quite a few men come forward. We worked with them just as we did women. Some of the men actually had custody of their kids. All of the men described being automatically treated as the perpetrator, even when their female perp said they were the perp.
The other end of male victims occurs in gay couples. This population has almost zero support.

Between what I hear about there being about one shelter for men in all of the US, and abused men usually being turned away by the "neutral" shelters or even blamed and sent to courses on how *they* can be less violent (as that is basically the only "service" they offer on the male side) it seems pretty rough.
On top of propbably getting no respect from wider society.

Charlotte, Thank you for showing this! I too am a survivor of Domestic Violence. I have studied Ms. Turd's reactions and behavior since the deposition. In the deposition she ate pork rinds or something during questions about Johnny. She is not a DV victim. I survived horrible beatings, being drugged and raped, lost jobs, my up-scale apartment, new car, my hair fell out and I lost 45 pounds due to a horrible partner who took everything from me. When I finally escaped I had no idea of who I was anymore. My entire life was stripped away. No family was allowed, no friends allowed. He would watch me while I was working from a nearby park with binoculars. He would call my co-workers and tell them he knew I was sleeping with all of them which was absurd. I was so focused on trying to keep my partner from killing me (3 times attempted) that I became a shell of a person. This Ms. Turd is a disgrace to those of us who are real survivors. It's been 14 years now and I am still recovering. I love Johnny Depp for standing up against her vial fabricated accusations. I thank God for giving me the courage to escape.

They were only allowed on this occasion because they weren't offering the headlines to prove the truth of the statements in the headlines (though of course they'd love the jury to accept them as truth). They were offering the headlines to try to prove that JD's reputation was already bad for other reasons even before AH wrote the Op Ed and therefore the Op Ed isn't the cause of the damage/loss being claimed.

I live in Fairfax County and one of my coworkers was called to be on jury duty for this case. She asked for exemptions and got it because she is a teacher. I told her that she was crazy and many people would pay to be in that courtroom :D. She said that she would have done it, but the six weeks trial is too long and the pay is very little. I agree, but I am not sure I could have passed on this opportunity if I would have been selected.

Nothing says 'we don't have a case' like reading out tabloid headlines in a courtroom and then your only line of questioning pertaining to those articles is about your own ability to read them correctly. Someone get Amber's attorney a gold star sticker. He read all those words correctly all by himself. 😆 Also, I can't wait for Johnny's attorneys to cross-examine Amber next week. Yes, women do it too, but not as much as many men do.
As for divorce? At one time men got the children. So now women get custody? Please find stats. Many couples share custody.

If we get hit we usually wanna know why it happened or what the hell that other person was thinking. I have been watching and a lot of this trial makes me have the giggles pretty bad. It’s been really upsetting learning that a victim of domestic violence has been made out to be the perp, by a malicious cruel manipulative unstable horrible human being. Amber Heard deserves all the judgment and backlash she’s getting right now.
She’s unfairly enjoyed almost 7 years of acting like some kind of victim and deviously making herself the face of the #metoo and #timesup movements, all for the attention she’s always thought she was entitled to. Hurting actual domestic abuse survivors all over this country, like Johnny Depp. She took his dignity, reputation and now his privacy too. I hope she never gets another acting gig in her miserable life.

When Harvey Weinstein was first accused of his crimes, lots of people came out to tell their story supporting the claims. When Amber accused JD… not one person came out to support her claims. In fact the opposite occurred with people coming from all walks of life to say the opposite, that JD is a kind, calm man. But with Ms Turd, multiple people came out to say she is the violent and abusive one. Furthermore, I’ve heard and experienced harrowing stories of SA, DV and abuse stories and all of them have made me sick to the stomach and emotional… when she tells her story, I feel confused at to what her sentences even means and I just feel like I am watching a terrible actor audition. I get secondhand embarrassment and feel awkward. If something makes you feel like this, then the person is most likely lying. Humans are conditions to sense the truth from lies through intuitively reading body language, empathy and gut feelings etc. she is clearly lying out of her butt and it’s truly disgusting. I love JD, he seems like a really authentic person who has been through complete hell. I hope he wins this case but even if he doesn’t, he has won in the public eye and that’s the best win of all. Just my 2 cents because I’m so invested in justice 😆

Men don't often talk about being abused, so I'm glad this is creating an opportunity for conversation. I was on the receiving end of abuse, both physical & psychological, from an ex-partner. Non-stop turmoil, gas lighting, and when things were at their worst, violence, followed by threats to call the police with fake accusations, knowing who authorities would automatically believe. It was a nightmare. I never laid a hand on her, but I still have photos of the bruises she left on my body. Sometimes it can be quite difficult to see the situation for what it is, until you're clear of it. Now it is thankfully just a bad memory.

She would use the heel of her shoe, the bristles of a brush, whatever she could lay her hands on. The only thing I ever learned from the multiple beatings was that my mother hates me, because I cannot for the life of me remember what any of them were for. I'm so sorry that you endured that kind of thing. Nobody should have to live through that. BUT I wonder if she fully thought about JD's response because wasn't she the one who would tell anyone with ears that he was "an old fat man" or something similar to had she really understood the answer she should've been upset.
I am LOVING Johnny's responses and the natural comedian in him comes out strong with many of his responses. I also find it sad that Amber thinks she's above the law and that she is spitting in the face of the judge, jury and lawyer(s) by continually perjurying herself and what's worse is that the lies she's spewing on and on about are all.....or mostly all, easily checked on and there are witnwsses that can EASILY prove it!!! I'm not kidding when I say to me it seems like she's treating this like she's making a movie.

I've seen these clips so many times yet they still make me laugh! Every. Single. Time! Also part of my wonders if Heard's lawyers just know they're screwed so they're just dragging it out to get a bigger pay check. Surely no one is actually that incompetent.

It makes me happy that after all he's been through, he can still smile and he has his humor. She didn't destroy all of him. I'm an abuse survivor and I desperately want to see justice served for Johnny and I really want to see him genuinely happy again. He lost so much from all of this and Amber has set actual survivors back so much when it comes to survivors being believed. I am forever Team Johnny.

  • Gina Young
    Gina Young Il y a 13 jours +172

Im so glad that JD and his team were able to get this aired live. Not just because of the ludicrous and hilarious clips that have come from it, but because its blatantly clear to anyone with 2 brain cells that she was the abuser in that relationship. Does JD have issues? Yes of course... but he has never been a woman beater. Hes been on and off drugs his whole life and still all the women from his past have never accused him of these things.
If he loses this case, its gonna be a sad day for millions of people who are sitting at home screaming for men to be able to come forward with their stories as victims of DV. This could change so much for the stigma attached to men being physically/emotionally abused.

@TheCheshireFiles right, and she defamed him and damaged his career and reputation by accusing him of abuse. So in an indirect way it is about abuse. He lost his wages, was "cancelled", and was slandered all over media because of allegations she made that he was physically (and verbally/sexually) abusive.

This case has nothing to do with if he was abused. It's a defamation case meaning he is suing Amber for lost wages and reputation. As of now, he's got the court of public opinion on his side when before this he did not. THIS is what's important. Whether he wins or not, or she wins her case or not (they both can win their cases btw) doesn't matter in the scheme of things. People are seeing how Amber was more physically abusive to Johnny than he ever was to her and how she lied about so much to so many. Those who called for him to be cancelled are now taking back what they said because they believed Amber Turd instead of investigating what happened. Go over to the Legal Bites channel here, she does a great job of making all this make sense to those of us who aren't in law.

Things I learned from this trial: the Legend of Alejandro, Amica (lol), Muffingate, Megapint, Objecting to one's self (Rottenborn *cough*... now there is a song about it), arguing with a judge and saying "I don't agree" frequently does not a good lawyer make... nor does resisting sidebar.

This case is so important for so many reasons. As well as it being incredibly amusing (I also now absolutely idolise Dr Curry and Camille Vasquez!😍) but also, on top of this showing how much it is possible and real than men are abuse victims of women too - but watching AH on the stand describing s3xual abuse and r*pe and physical and verbal abuse that is complete 100% proven to be lies is such a middle finger to all real victims. She’s made it so much harder for real victims to come forward. She’s made is so much harder for real victims to be believed. She’s made men afraid to come forward for fear their abusers will do what she’s doing. She’s also caused a stigma for those with borderline personality disorder living balanced and healthy lives who are now being discriminated against. I feel sick watching her describe r*pe that didn’t happen and knowing she had a daughter now too, these things happen to real women and she’s disrespecting them. I constantly watch these same videos from the trial I love the bond of their team, Johnna and Camille’s friendship is adorable. But it’s so so sick and twisted this had to be a case anyway. I cannot WAIT for Camille to do the cross of AH.

@Stephania Fernández Thank you and I'm sorry you and your mom had to go through that as well. My parents finally divorced as well and they are not the best of friends but they are cordial with one another. Also, he was not a terrible dad but he is not winning father of the year either. We sometimes forget the good moments because of all the horrible ones. Anyways, I honestly think they are both guilty of something. Alcohol and drugs can change someone so much. I have no doubt that words were said and some verbal abuse was committed on his end. Just how I think she is way over selling her side and that she too verbally & physically abused him. She also keeps contradicting herself and doing gestures that are more common for the aggressor than the victim. Sadly we will never truly know what the heck happened but yeah. Thank you for reading and thank you for responding. Best of luck to you, be safe & happy. Also, tell your mom she's a rockstar & a very strong woman!

@SpikesEcho Reverse the roles. If he was the one doing all the things she's been found proven and admitted to have done, all that abuse "hitting not punching" cutting off his finger, throwing things like vases and pots and pans, verballing abusing him by calling him a baby for not wanting to fight or leaving or feeling abused when hit, and instigating physical fights and admitting to "just going crazy" and starting them not being able to promise to stop doing that .. and she was the one saying things out of reaction, quoting some movie to a friend privately or insulting back... would you still call it abuse on both sides?

@thrillcker68 if they have solid evidence that she is lying, them she could possibly be charged with perjury, but that is only if the state attorney there wants to charge her. Taking her to court over that would end up being expensive because she'd likely fight it. That would be a totally different trial though.

People keep commenting on how bad Ms Heards’ lawyers are, but I think they are doing a fantastic job given the overwhelming amount of unverified proof, misrepresented texts, unsupported incidents they were given by their client. It is hard to defend your client when the information you have is irrelevant, unsubstantiated, or just untrue.

After all he's been through, I hope Johnny gets the love and peace he deserves. Also, from the perspective of a survivor of spousal abuse, that woman does a HUGE disservice to those with genuine experience of it and she's known as Amber Turd for more than the gift she left in Johnny's bed.
